Best Paper Award and Encouragement Award

1. Introduction

(a)	JSDE Best Paper Award has been given to authors of an outstanding paper of research and educational field, that had been published on JSDE journal "Design Engineering" within a period from last January to December, in each year.
(b)	JSDE Encouragement Award was established in order to praise outstanding young researchers' and educationists' effort and elevate their motivations. This award has been given to outstanding papers written by authors younger than 35 years old, that had been published on JSDE journal "Design Engineering" within a period from last January to September, in each year.
(c)	The number of awarding is limited only One as a general rule, however, if it was difficult to choose a winner among candidates, the limitation can be expanded up to Three and Two, for Best Paper Award and Encouragement Award, respectively.
(d)	To examine nominated papers strictly, Best Paper Award Inquiry Committee has been established.
(e)	The announcement of the winners and award ceremony are held at general meeting in the next year. Testimonial and prize medal are given to winners. It is also announced on JSDE journal.
